Looking into the Goodyear Fortera Silentarmor tires?  The Goodyear Fortera Silentarmor tires are a pretty popular line of tires.  They are highway tires that are all-season for light trucks and SUV drivers and they provide a quiet ride while at the same time giving you the rugged strength you expect from a truck tire.  The tire is designed to give good traction in both dry and wet conditions as well as snowy conditions.

As far as what the Goodyear Fortera Silentarmor technology is, there is basically a longwearing tread compound put into the tread that improves the traction and ride comfort while at the same time reducing the level of noise perceived by the occupants.

There are grooves around the tire that are staggered and also curvilinear sipes in the tread to help the adherence of the tire to the road under any road conditions.

The wheels have 2 high tensile steel belts within them that are reinforced by a layer of DuPont Kevlar which helps the tire resist puncturing and other abrasions, there is also a rim guard protector that keeps wheels from encountering curb damage.

Now there is also a “comfort zone” here where you have super shock absorbency in the rubber layer between the tread and the steel belts that gives about 20% more cushion than other SUV and light truck tires.

Now this is all well and good, but what you really want to know are the tires to look out for and the prices, so here’s a look at what options there are:

1.  Goodyear FORTERA SILENT ARMOR Tire - P235/75R15 105T OWL

Here’s one that you can pick up at Sears for $149.11 per tire.  As mentioned earlier, this tire combines rugged toughness with comfort and a quiet ride and it is coming with the staggered grooves, curvilinear sipes, DuPont Kevlar and all the other bells and whistles previously mentioned.

2.  P255/70R16 Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor Tires

This one here is a more expensive version which is $193.99 as found on Amazon.  The tire is 30.1 x 10.2 x 30.1” and weighs in at 36 pounds.  In finding out which tire to get, you’re going to have to take into consideration the size of the tire you’re going for and generally the bigger the tire, the more its going to cost.

Now there are several other ones available but that should give you an idea of the price range you’re dealing with, although I have seen them go for $110 each.  Do a bit more research online for the Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor tires and you should be able to find them.
